 Located in scenic Central Otago and on the banks of the mighty Clutha River, Riders Rest Roxburgh is set in a quiet

 location in the heart of Roxburgh within walking distance to shops, cafes, hotels, bakery and supermarket

With only a 2 hour drive to major locations such as Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunedin, Invercargill and Ranfurly, Riders Rest is the ideal hub to base yourself while exploring the attractions of Southland and Central Otago. Local activities include boating, road cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, walking, fishing, 4WDrivng and historic sites to visit so there is plenty to do to keep everyone amused.

For the less adventurous the Teviot Valley is also a large fruit producing area, with many roadside stalls where you can purchase delicious fruit. Vineyards are also at close at hand for those who appreciate fine wines.

Our Accommodation Park provides 15 cabins that sleep 2 people in either single or queen beds and a  12 room lodge, that sleeps 2 to 4 people per room, and 2 stand alone cabins that can sleep 2-3 people

We have a large recreation room suitable for functions and a large separate ablution block, with kitchen, laundry and shower/toilet facilities.

The Teviot Valley now has many unique Mountain Bike and Cycle Trails available. Bring your own bike or Hire one in Town
